As a specialised professional translator, my main area of expertise is technical translation. I have a long track record as a translator from German, English and French into Spanish. Julián Alarcón Martínez, specialist translator
I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Barcelona.
During my translation studies, I completed a one-year specialisation in electrical engineering and machinery at the Faculty of Translation at the German University of Hildesheim.
For more than 20 years I have been working as a translator and project manager for translation and localisation projects for companies in many parts of the world. My work process is governed by the UNE 15038:2006 standard, which regulates translation services and ensures that quality requirements are met for each project. I also use advanced CAT tools, terminology management systems and intelligent project management platforms to ensure excellence in my translations.
I have been member 101 of the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders and Interpreters (ASETRAD) since 2003.

Over the last few years I have deepened my expertise because I believe that continuous learning is an essential part of the translation profession. These are some of the courses I have done:
